All data was compiled using the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) home health claims-OASIS limited data set, which includes claims and OASIS data from 2018. This fourth installment looks at comorbidity adjustments by state.

Click here for the July 2019 Home Health PDGM Impact Under Proposed Rule report - In July 2019 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published its proposed Medicare home health agency (HHA) payment rule for 2020. This proposed rule included updates to the Patient Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) scheduled for implementation on Jan. 1, 2020. This report contains a summary comparison of the overall estimated financial impact of PDGM using 2017 and 2018 claims and OASIS data. Click here for the June 2019 Home Health PDGM Series report - This report series explores the data elements that drive payment under the Medicare Patient Driven Groupings Model (PDGM). All data was compiled using the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) home health claims-OASIS limited data set, which includes claims and OASIS data from 2017.

Click here for the June 2019 Hospice Proposed Payment Rates report - Below are the proposed hospice rates for dates of service beginning October 1, 2019 for each of the CBSAs in each state. As you know, CMS is proposing to rebase, or rebalance, the payment rates across the levels of care. While continuous, inpatient respite and general inpatient are proposed to see substantial increases, those increases were "pulled" from the routine payment rates to maintain overall budget neutrality. Additionally, wage index rates can have significant swings from CBSA to CBSA. Each hospice is encouraged to use historical utilization data by level of care to see how these new rates will affect overall Medicare revenues.

Comprehensive Wage-Hour Compliance Guide (Exclusive to MAHC Members)
SESCO Management Consultants have developed a Wage and Hour Compliance Guide which addresses the new overtime regulations effective
December 1, 2016.

There are few federal regulations which have as profound an impact on business operations as the Fair Labor Standards Act. Originally enacted in
1938, virtually 100% of all non-supervisory employees in America are now covered by the FLSA, which has been amended frequently by Congress
after the first federal minimum wage was established at $.25 an hour. In addition to trying to keep pace with the statutory amendments, employers
have had to adjust to a multitude of precedent setting decisions and new regulations. One of these new laws that employers must comply are the new
overtime regulations effective December 1, 2016. The DOL suggests that over 40 million employees with be impacted.

The cost is $45.00, contact kimtaylor@sescomgt.com to order your copy.
